Biography

Associate, CN&R. Ms. Méndez-Ortiz started at CNR’s Educational Law Department in 2023. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Méndez-Ortiz represented local governments in arbitration proceedings, from discovery, evidence, and witness interviewing procedures to negotiations and settlements under administrative and civil law. Her background comprises counselling in legislative proceedings, labor law, housing, and land titling. Ms. Méndez-Ortiz graduated summa cum laude for her Juris Doctor from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico School of Law in 2020, where she was also part of the Dean’s List. As a law student, she served as a teaching assistant for Prof. Luis E. Romero Nieves in the Legal Research and Analysis course. Ms. Méndez-Ortiz obtained magna cum laude Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Puerto Rico in 2017, where she also formed part of the Dean’s List during her academic journey. She is admitted to the Puerto Rico Bar and is also a Public Notary.
