Biography

Mr. Franco Catalá-Díaz is a general civil attorney who is Special Of-Counsel with the Firm’s Educational Law & General Civil Department. His practice concentrates in litigation of various issues, among them, administrative and general civil law, insurance law, torts, contracts law, and construction law. Particularly, Mr. Catalá-Díaz represents insurance companies before the local and state courts in a myriad of claims for torts, and professional malpractice. As well as a corporate counsel for Academic Institutions Prior to joining the Firm in the spring of 2011, Mr. Catalá-Díaz worked as Managing Associate in the Litigation Department of the San Juan law firm Vilella, Janerio & Catalá, were he actively participated in successfully representing architects, designers and engineers in a variety of high-profile and complex professional malpractice claims. He had also practiced before administrative boards and arbitrators.
